Attendance

For pupils to achieve their potential, regular attendance is important.  While we recognise the barriers that many of our pupils face, we are committed to working to improve their attendance based on their starting points with us. We follow the Norfolk ‘Support First’ model of support which aims to address barriers for attendance without the need for escalation..We are committed to meeting our obligations with regards to school attendance by:

  • Promoting good attendance and reducing absence, including persistent absence
  • Ensuring every pupil has access to full-time education to which they are entitled
  • Acting early to address patterns of absence

We believe that regular attendance enables children both to maximise the educational opportunities available to them and to become responsible, organised and motivated adults. We value all pupils. As set out in this policy, we will work with families to identify the reasons for poor attendance and try to resolve any difficulties.

For all attendance queries please contact your child’s School in the first instance.
